Changing your VPS password.

You can change the Windows account password for your ForexVPS directly from inside the VPS using Control Panel. This guide walks you through navigating to User Accounts and setting a new password for the trader account.

Before you start: You’ll need your current ForexVPS password to complete this change. If you don’t have access to your current password, use the client portal reset process instead.

What you’ll need

  • An active Remote Desktop session connected to your ForexVPS
  • Your current VPS password
  • A new password you’d like to set

Part 1: Navigate to User Accounts

Step 1: Open Control Panel from the Start menu

Inside your trading VPS, click the START menu, then click Control Panel.

Step 2: Click User Accounts

In Control Panel, click User Accounts.

Step 3: Click Manage Another Account

Click Manage Another Account to see the list of user accounts on the VPS.

Step 4: Select the trader user account

Click the trader user account — this is the default account used for ForexVPS Remote Desktop logins.

Part 2: Set a new password

Step 5: Click Change the password

Click Change the password to open the password change form.

Step 6: Enter your current and new password

Input the Current Password, then set the New Password twice to confirm it. Optionally, add a password hint in case you forget it later. Click Change Password to apply the change.

Your VPS password is updated immediately. Use the new password the next time you connect via Remote Desktop, Windows App, or browser login.
