When choosing a Virtual Private Server (VPS) for forex trading, stability, low latency, and reliability are paramount. MyForexVPS has been a notable player in this arena and in the financial markets for over a decade.
However, even the most established providers have their limitations, and many forex traders find themselves seeking alternatives due to those limitations. This guide explores the top MyForexVPS alternatives and competitors in 2025.
- Traders are primarily attracted to MyForexVPS for its affordability, offering high-resource plans with specs like 8GB RAM and 4 CPU cores for a low price.
- Traders seek alternatives due to fundamental issues with unreliability, including server crashes causing losses, very limited global coverage with only three server locations, and a lack of dedicated server options.
- ForexVPS is a great alternative, providing superior global coverage with 22 locations, more generous base plan resources for better scalability, and a more reliable service all round.
What is MyForexVPS?

MyForexVPS is a popular trading Virtual Private Server (VPS) provider known for its competitive pricing and tailored solutions for the MetaTrader trading platforms. With 12 years in business, the trading VPS provider makes a strong claim as one of the top forex VPS service providers.
The primary objective of the hosting service is to provide a stable and low-latency environment for traders running automated trading strategies and Expert Advisors (EAs) without interruption.
What Traders Like About MyForexVPS
The most expensive pricing plan MyForexVPS offers is the Platinum VPS. It comes with 8 GB RAM, 4 CPU cores, and 100 GB SSD storage. Most forex VPS service providers would charge you north of $50 for this. MyForexVPS offers it for only $39.99! This is exactly what traders like about MyForexVPS: the affordability.
Why Traders Look for an Alternative to MyForexVPS?
MyForexVPS, although a formidable force in the trading VPS space, has its share of snags that not only frustrate traders but also send them scouring for alternatives. Let’s see some of the reasons traders leave MyForexVPS:
1. Unreliability
The most severe and frequently cited issue with MyForexVPS is a fundamental failure to deliver adequate performance. One user review explicitly states that the server crashed unexpectedly for whatever reason, resulting in two trades not being stopped out at their stop-loss prices. Obviously, the losses ended up being more than planned.

2. Limited Global Coverage
MyForexVPS has only three server locations: Amsterdam (AM), London (LN), and New York (NY). No doubt, forex traders whose brokers have servers in these locations can get low latency. Unfortunately, if your broker doesn’t have any or enough servers in these locations, your trading latency dramatically shoots up, and you become almost as exposed to slippage and slow trade executions as a trader without a trading VPS.
A good example of this is MyForexVPS’s latency to Pepperstone across its servers. It’s 2 ms in the NY server and dramatically shoots up to 69ms in the LN server. It soars even further to 88ms in AM.
If you selected the NY server during subscription, you will automatically experience higher latency to brokers like Alpari, whose servers have 114 ms latency from MyForexVPS’s NY server.
You could reach out to their support to request a server change. But even that has mixed ratings from what we learned from users on TrustPilot. Some claimed it was great. Others believed it was woeful.
3. No Dedicated Servers
Institutional/professional traders have always had to take their business elsewhere, as MyForexVPS does not offer dedicated servers powerful enough to run heavy-duty trading algorithms. Yes, they offer customizable servers that can reach up to 200 GB of SSD storage, 10 CPU cores, and 16 GB of RAM, which is quite powerful. But that’s just the limit for traders who want to take their business to the next level with MyForexVPS.

Performance & Reliability
ForexVPS consistently achieves 1ms latency by having servers in 22 major financial data centers, including the all-important Equinix NY4 (New York) and LD4 (London) hubs. With this, you might as well be placing your terminal next to your broker’s server. Without a doubt, this brings your latency to extremely low levels.
Another measure ForexVPS takes to ensure you have a stable trading environment is the generous allocation of resources, more than you even need. For instance, ForexVPS offers 100 GB of SSD storage on its most affordable plan. MyForexVPS only offers half of that.
ForexVPS takes things further with features, such as Resource Spike Protection, which automatically allocates more server resources to your terminals during sudden volatility spikes. This way, your EA remains steady and active when other VPS providers might have tripped off.
Plans and Pricing
Pricing starts at an effective rate of $28 per month (billed annually). While this is significantly more expensive than MyForexVPS’s starting price of $11.99, the hardware rig that ForexVPS providers make it worth it. Compared to MyForexVPS’s hardware configuration of 2GB RAM, 2 CPU cores, and 50GB SSD storage on the lowest plan, ForexVPS offers 4GB RAM, 2 CPU cores, and 100GB SSD Storage. The more powerful one is obvious.
ForexVPS, optimized for multiple trading platforms, also offers plans for institutional traders, including one that features an Nvidia GPU. MyForexVPS offers none.
Support & User Experience
Forex VPS boasts a stellar reputation, earning a 4.8/5 Trustpilot rating based on over 5,000 reviews. Users consistently praise their 24/7 support for being fast, responsive, and knowledgeable about trading-specific problems.
2. FXVM

Plans & Pricing
FXVM is highly affordable, with forex VPS plans starting at around $17 per month, making them very accessible for forex traders just starting with EAs. They offer something most trading VPS providers don’t: virtual desktops. Not virtual servers. Virtual desktops.
The virtual desktop is perfect for traders who have just one EA, who don’t need the full server suite, but still need this EA to run without any hitch. This virtual desktop plan starts at $11.99, providing access to a shared superfast AMD CPU, the Ryzen 7950X3D, 3 GB of extremely low-latency RAM, and 110GB of NVMe storage. Additionally, you continue to have access to four major forex VPS server locations, including New York, London, Singapore, and Amsterdam.
Support and User Experience
Almost 4,000 reviewers on TrustPilot agree that FXVM is a strong contender in the trading VPS space, boasting an almost-perfect 4.8-star rating. One user said, “Great price great service. Been working with these guys for over 2 years had limited problems.” This review echoed the sentiments of many other FXVM users.
3. QuantVPS

QuantVPS is a premium provider built from the ground up for algorithmic and high-frequency traders, with a special focus on the futures market. Their entire infrastructure is engineered for one thing: speed.
| Metric | MyForexVPS | QuantVPS |
|---|---|---|
| RAM | 2–8 GB | 8 – 32 GB (DDR5) |
| CPU | 2–4 cores | AMD Ryzen (2 – 6 cores) |

| Pricing | From $11.99/mo | From $59.99 (billed annually) |
| Customizable Server | Yes | No |
| Dedicated Server | No | Yes |
Performance
QuantVPS’s primary advantage is its strategic data center location in Chicago, adjacent to the CME Group’s servers. This allows it to achieve and guarantee an astonishingly low latency of <0.52ms to the CME, which is critical for futures traders where every microsecond impacts execution.
The trading VPS provider then backs this performance with a 100% uptime guarantee and enterprise-grade hardware, including powerful AMD EPYC processors, high-speed DDR4 RAM, and ultra-fast NVMe storage. Security is also a priority, with advanced DDoS protection and automated server backups included in all plans.
Plans and Pricing
QuantVPS has a 3-tier pricing system. The VPS Lite plan, its entry-level plan, offers 4 AMD EPYC Cores, 8 GB of RAM, and 80 GB of NVMe storage. This configuration costs $59.99 per month (billed annually). The third of its three-tier plan gets you 8 AMD EPYC cores, 32 GB of RAM, and 320 GB of NVMe storage. This configuration goes for $199.99.
Support and User Experience
The service is highly rated, with a 4.8/5 on Trustpilot from close to 200 reviews. Its performance in real-time trading applications stood out to customers. Its servers’ ease of use and the customer team’s prompt and helpful responses also helped bolster the provider’s reputation.
4. VPSForexTrader

Established in 2011, VPSForex Trader is a long-standing name in the industry. In that time, the forex VPS hosting provider has built a reputation for stable performance and consistent service.
| Metric | MyForexVPS | VPSForexTrader |
|---|---|---|
| RAM | 2–8 GB | 4–8 GB |
| CPU | 2–4 cores | 3–8 cores |
| Storage | 50–100 GB SSD | 120–250 GB SSD |

Performance
They utilize solid hardware, including AMD EPYC CPUs and NVMe SSDs, to make sure their clients enjoy stable performance, suitable for running multiple MT4/MT5 instances. They have servers in 4 financial hubs, including New York, London, the Netherlands, and Hong Kong. These will help you keep your latency low for many major forex brokers, especially if your broker’s servers are located in these financial hubs as well.
Plans and Pricing
VPSForexTrader’s plans aren’t the most expensive, nor are they the cheapest. They start at $25.59/month (billed annually) for a server equipped with 3 Cores of CPU, 4 GB of RAM, and 120 GB of NVMe storage. This configuration will conveniently run up to 4 instances of MT4/MT5 concurrently. And on the higher end, they offer a server configuration that can run up to 10 MT4/MT5 instances for $59.99/month.
They also offer a 14-day money-back guarantee and a unique policy of not terminating services during forex trading hours for overdue payments.
Support and User Experience
Long-term users praise the service’s stability, with one reviewer noting “no unscheduled shutdowns for the two years I’ve rented at them,” a strong testament to their reliability.
5. TradingFXVPS

TradingFXPS is not the most feature-filled VPS. ForexVPS takes that crown. However, what it lacks in additional VPS features, it makes up for in raw, brute power.
| Metric | MyForexVPS | TradingFXVPS |
|---|---|---|
| RAM | 2–8 GB | 2–8 GB (DDR5) |
| CPU | 2–4 cores | AMD Ryzen 9 9950X (1–4 cores) |
| Storage | 50–100 GB SSD | 30–50 GB NVMe |
| MT4/MT5 Terminals | Up to 2 on the base plan | Not provided |
| VPS Locations | 3 | 8 |
| Minimum Latency | 0.3 ms | 0.3 ms |
| Pricing | From $11.99/mo | From $20.84/mo |
| Customizable Server | Yes | No |
| Dedicated Server | No | Yes |
Performance
The key differentiator for TradingFXVPS is their top-tier hardware. They use AMD Ryzen 9 9950X CPUs, which offer the most robust single-thread performance, critical for trading software like MT4 and MT5. This is paired with DDR5 RAM and ultra-fast NVMe storage.
TradingFXVPS has a blazing-fast 10Gbps network speed (compared to the 1Gbps industry standard). This only means that your “buy” and “sell” requests travel back and forth between your broker’s server and yours on the highway. This powerful combination allows them to boast latency as low as 0.3ms, one of the lowest in the industry.
Plans & Pricing
Pricing starts at a very competitive $20.84 per month (annual billing) for a server that features a 1-core CPU, 2 GB of RAM, and 30 GB of storage. At the higher end of their server plan, they offer 4 CPU cores, 8 GB of RAM, and 50 GB of NVMe storage. This goes for $75.
They also provide specialized HFT and Futures VPS plans for the most demanding trading bots.
Support and User Experience
What TradingFXVPS has across most reviews is a glowing reputation among users. While their customer service received most of the appreciation, many users commended their strong VPS performance.
6. NYCServers

As the name implies, NYCServers focuses on providing premium, low-latency hosting from the heart of the financial world: New York, with additional key locations in London and Tokyo.
| Metric | MyForexVPS | NYCServers |
|---|---|---|
| RAM | 2–8 GB | 2–8 GB |
| CPU | 2–4 cores | 2–4 cores |
| Storage | 50–100 GB SSD | 60–100 GB SSD |
| MT4/MT5 Terminals | Up to 2 on the base plan | Up to 3 on the base plan |
| VPS Locations | 3 | 3 |
| Minimum Latency | 0.3 ms | <1 ms |
| Pricing | From $11.99/mo | From $16.67/mo billed yearly |
| Customizable Server | Yes | No |
| Dedicated Server | No | Yes |
Performance
The provider specializes in ultra-low latency to brokers co-located in major data centers. Their unique custom control panel is a significant highlight, offering 1-click MT4/MT5 installation, web-based file uploads for EAs, and auto-diagnostic tools, which make it incredibly user-friendly. They also provide strong security features to protect your trading operations, and everything comes along with a 100% uptime guarantee.
Pricing
While positioned as a premium service, their pricing is surprisingly competitive, starting at just $16.67 per month on an annual plan. With this, you get 2 CPU cores, 2 GB of RAM, and 60 GB of SSD storage. The plan also comes preinstalled with MT4/MT5. On the higher end of their pricing structure is the Professional VPS plan. This one gives you 4 CPU cores, 8 GB of RAM, and 100 GB of SSD storage.
Support and User Experience
The review space for NYCServers is mixed, with customer service being the most common issue when things didn’t go well. But beyond that, most reviewers were satisfied with the core VPS offerings and performances.
7. FXsVPS

FXsVPS targets budget-minded traders. It’s smaller and less well-known, but it maintains a loyal user base.
| Metric | MyForexVPS | FxSVPS |
|---|---|---|
| RAM | 2–8 GB | 3–8 GB |
| CPU | 2–4 cores | 2–6 cores |
| Storage | 50–100 GB SSD | 40–100 GB NVMe |
| MT4/MT5 Terminals | Up to 2 on the base plan | Up to 3 on the base plan |
| VPS Locations | 3 | 16 |
| Minimum Latency | 0.3 ms | 1 ms |
| Pricing | From $11.99/mo | From $8.49 |
| Customizable Server | Yes | No |
| Dedicated Server | No | Yes |
Performance
FXsVPS offers global VPS coverage, boasting servers in 16 locations, while also striving to keep prices low. The normal expectation here is to find compromises somewhere in their hardware infrastructure, but that isn’t the case with FxSVPS. For instance, the base plan, which costs only $8.49, can power up to 3 concurrent instances of MT4/MT5 on its 2 AMD Ryzen CPU cores, 3 GB of DDR5 RAM, and 40 GB NVMe SSD.
Plans and Pricing
The lowest server plan comes with 2 CPU core, 3 GB of RAM, and 40 GB of NVMe storage, and it costs $8.49. On the higher end, they offer a plan that can power up to 8 terminals simultaneously, but it costs only $36.54. As if those aren’t cheap enough, FXsVPS offers another category of plans it calls “Cheap Forex VPS”, with plans ranging from $1.99 to only $5.94.
Support and User Experience
Before September 2025, a third of its reviewers on TrustPilot thought FXsVPS was worth a 1-star rating. Most of them had issues with their customer service, with some going so far as to call the hosting service provider a scam.
That said, some users have had nothing but good things to say about them. One user even said, “The few times I had to reach out, I got useful responses; I have never had unresolved issues since 2021 I started using them. Another interesting thing about you is your moderately cheap prices on variety of services that suites all need.”
But since then, FxSVPS has received a sudden influx of new, positive reviews.
8. ForexVPS365

ForexVPS365 is a relatively new competitor on this list, having been online since 2019. That they can play at the same table with the big boys is a testament to how far they have come in such a short time.
| Metric | MyForexVPS | ForexVPS365 |
|---|---|---|
| RAM | 2–8 GB | 2–64 GB |
| CPU | 2–4 cores | 1–6 CPUs (dedicated plan) |
| Storage | 50–100 GB SSD | 20–80 GB SSD |
| MT4/MT5 Terminals | Up to 2 on the base plan | Up to 3 on the base plan |
| VPS Locations | 3 | 9 |
| Minimum Latency | 0.3 ms | 2 ms |
| Pricing | From $11.99/mo | From €17–€220 |
| Customizable Server | Yes | No |
| Dedicated Server | No | Yes |
Performance
ForexVPS365 enters the game with reliable, high-grade Intel Xeon processors and high-speed RAM. And while you only get four server locations on their most affordable plan, it quickly bumps up to nine on the intermediate plan. As a result, you can trade with latency as low as 1ms on a lot of brokers with ease.
Plans and Pricing
ForexVPS365 brings flexibility to the rather rigid plans that other VPS providers often provide. They have four major plans, starting from €17.00 for the Lite plan, which provides 1 CPU core, 2 GB of RAM, and 20 GB of SSD, powerful enough to run up to 3 MT4/MT5 terminals concurrently. And when you reach their highest-tier plan, which starts at €73.00, you can run up to 12 MT4/MT5 instances concurrently.
They also offer a dedicated plan, which includes up to 960GB of SSD storage, 128GB of RAM, and 6 CPUs. This is only available on the Netherlands server location.
Support and User Experience
The issue we had about ForexVPS365 is that they are practically non-existent beyond their website. No customer reviews, no TrustPilot presence, no independent reviewer’s mention. Nothing.
9. FXVPS Pro

If budget is your absolute primary concern, FXVPS Pro offers some of the lowest entry prices in the market. However, this comes with significant trade-offs that serious traders must consider.
| Metric | MyForexVPS | FXVPS Pro |
|---|---|---|
| RAM | 2–8 GB | 1–48 GB |
| CPU | 2–4 cores | 1–12 cores |
| Storage | 50–100 GB SSD | 18–200 GB |
| MT4/MT5 Terminals | Up to 2 on the base plan | Up to 1 on the base plan |
| VPS Locations | 3 | 4 |
| Minimum Latency | 0.3 ms | 1 ms |
| Pricing | From $11.99/mo | From $4.99/mo |
| Customizable Server | Yes | Yes |
| Dedicated Server | No | No |
Performance
For the price, they offer a decent feature set, including SSD storage and server locations in the USA, UK, Netherlands, and Montreal. With forex brokers in these locations, you get latency as low as 1 ms. They also boast strong security against DDoS attacks paired with data backup.
Pricing
With plans starting as low as $4.99 per month, their pricing is highly aggressive and tempting for the budget-conscious trader. FXVPS Prohave the most elaborate pricing structure of any other forex VPS hosting service on this list. First, they have three main forex VPS plans. Each main plan has up to 7 sub-plans.
Support and User Experience
User reviews for FXVPS Pro are highly polarized. While some users praise the value and performance for the price, a significant number report critical issues with billing and customer service. We also noticed that out of the 25 reviews they’ve gathered on TrustPilot, only two have come this year as at the time of writing this. And both were unflattering 1-star reviews.
How to Choose the Right MyForexVPS Alternative
Choosing a trading VPS goes beyond picking the cheapest plan. Usually, if it comes cheap, there must have been compromises. My forexVPS already offers a reasonably priced forex VPS hosting service. However, if you require something a little more for a little extra, here’s how to arrive at your decision.
1. Latency
Every millisecond can impact your execution price. Anything over 100 milliseconds is too slow for EA trading strategies, while scalpers and high-frequency traders should aim for under 20 milliseconds. MyForexVPS boasts a minimum latency of 1ms. However, their limited server locations may often impact this figure, especially for brokers whose servers are more far-flung.
For instance, MyForexVPS’s latency only goes as low as 2ms for Pepperstone from their NY server and 69ms from their UK server. While VPSForexTrader offers even lower (0.89ms) on their NY server, UK server latency to the same broker easily shoots up to 67.82ms. TradingFXVPS, boasting one of the lowest latencies on this list, goes as low as 0.3ms from their NY server, but shoots up to 72ms on their UK server. In all of this, ForexVPS achieves a consistent 1ms latency to the same broker from both the US AND the UK.
A difference of 1ms may not make a huge difference for most EA traders. However, the stability of your trading system is guaranteed over time with a VPS that has two servers providing a latency of 1ms from two different locations, compared to one that has less latency from one location and significantly more from the next closest location.
2. Resources to Your Ambition (RAM & CPU)
The number of trading terminals and the complexity of your EAs will determine your resource needs. A simple rule of thumb is to allocate at least 500 MB to 1 GB of RAM for each MT4/MT5 instance you plan to run. If an EA uses many indicators or performs complex calculations, it will be CPU-intensive.
MyForexVPS only goes up to 4 CPU cores on the third and highest plan. On the others, you only have 2 CPU cores. The basic plan features 2 CPU cores paired with 2GB of RAM and 50GB of SSD storage, while the intermediate plan offers 4GB of RAM and 70GB of storage. While most trading VPS providers hover around this range, ForexVPS offers a generous 100 GB SSD storage, 2 CPU cores, and 4GB RAM on their lowest plan, then increases to 4 CPU cores, 6 GB RAM, and 150 GB for their intermediate plan.
MyForexVPS and ForexVPS both claim the ability to run up to 3 MT4/MT5 instances on their most affordable plans, and they’re both correct. However, one would be better at scaling than the other.
3. Support
There is a significant difference between general tech support and specialized trading support. If your trading VPS provider can’t help you troubleshoot a frozen MT4 terminal, you may have to start looking for a new trading service provider. A specialist knows the difference. Test their pre-sales live chat. Ask a trading-specific question like, “What is your average latency to Pepperstone’s NY4 server?” Their answer will quickly reveal their level of expertise.
4. Security
Your VPS hosts not only your trading account and capital but also your intellectual property—your EAs. Robust security is essential. The best forex VPS service providers offer multi-layer DDoS protection, firewalls, and at least weekly automated backups. Daily backups are even better. This protects you from external threats and provides a safety net in case of data corruption.
5. Additional VPS Features
Given, the core VPS services are what you need to run an Expert Advisor. However, the extra features that come with the core VPS services are where you begin to get more value for your money. That’s why itis essential to review the additional features that the provider offers.
We recommend that their presence/lack of additional features shouldn’t be a deal breaker, but rather an extra compelling reason to choose a provider. That said, the best forex VPS providers often have a little extra to offer.
Why ForexVPS is the Best MyForexVPS Alternative
ForexVPS is a better alternative to MyForexVPS, primarily due to the superior global coverage it offers. MyForexVPS only allows you to trade from four server locations. While these are major financial hubs in the world, there is a myriad of brokers whose trading servers are spread around the globe. ForexVPS gives you a bigger chance of keeping latency low if you choose to switch brokers.
Another compelling reason to opt for ForexVPS over MyforexVPS is its scalability considerations. MyForexVPS, while allowing you to use up to 3 MT4/MT5 instances on its basic plan, only offers 2 CPU cores, 2 GB of RAM, and 50 GB of SSD storage to do this. ForexVPS, on the other hand, provides you with significantly more resources to achieve the same goal, including up to 4 GB RAM and 100 GB SSD. This means it is easier to scale your strategies on ForexVPS without needing to upgrade to the next plan.
One more area where ForexVPS gets another point over MyForexVPS is in the additional features you get with them. Resource Spike Allocation automatically allocates additional resources during high volatility surges that are likely to cause other trading servers to freeze. TrackaTrader brings you full trading analytics and professional guides on how to improve your performance, ensuring that you stay in the trading game for longer. AlgoBuilder is an AI tool that lets you build a fully-fledged trading algorithm with simple text prompts. The features go on and on for ForexVPS. MyForexVPS, on the other hand, doesn’t offer much in additional features.
